I do not want American Water to purchase the Neosho water system. I cannot afford it. They have done nothing but cause Joplin to have one rate hike after another. They cost too much, and Joplin is a mess because of it. |

Neosho resident here. I read some of the Google Reviews for Missouri American Water in Joplin and they are overwhelming negative. This does not bode well for Neosho residents. I'm particularly concerned about future rate increases that will adversely impact seniors and fixed income residents. Keep in mind the per capita income in Neosho is approximately $30K per year. But I suppose that doesn't matter to an investor backed utility company. |
