P202600001 | 7/1/2025 9:19 AM | I am writing you today to a great concern. Environment Utilities LLC is once again seeking to increase our water rates. The rates were increased in 2018 due to not being in conformance with EPA regulations and needed upgrades. I believe but can not state is fact that this was shortly after they acquired the well, and any and all other equipment. This should have been the cost of doing business as well as the cost of not getting a proper inspection or buying blind and to not dump that onto already burdened customers. We have no other alternative for water service, it is in no other words, a monopoly on residents and are forced to use this company. We can not bare this burden again. *See attached for full comment and additional information |
P202600017 | 7/10/2025 1:44 PM | With the proposed amount of $32.00 increase for a household using over 1,000 gallons raising their payment from $58.00 to $90.00 per month, which could be a lot for a family of 4 or 5. I approximated 300 customers they would be taking in $9,600 per month and annually $115,00.00. Mr. Williams did state that they were operating in the red. I do like to see companies earn a profit however, there are cost of doing business that must be consumed by the company. This can be huge increase for a single parent home and the retired. We have to budget our household, sometimes it’s a very strict budget. Unfortunately utilities don’t have competitors that we can go to for a better rate and we are at their mercy and now the mercy of PSC. |
