I strongly oppose Timber Creek Sewer Company’s proposed rate increase of more than 80%. An increase of this size far exceeds inflation and places an unreasonable burden on customers who are already facing rising costs for housing and basic utilities. The company has not clearly demonstrated why such a drastic increase is necessary or why more moderate, phased options were not pursued. As a provider of an essential service, Timber Creek has a responsibility to ensure affordability, transparency, and accountability. I urge regulators to reject this proposal and require a more reasonable alternative that protects customers. |

I am writing in regards to the proposed rate increase on Timber Creek Sewer Company. I believe that given the current economic environment, ie, housing costs, groceries prices etc., that an 80.6% increase proposed by this company is much too high. At a minimum, the rate increase, if approved, should be spread out over a period of a few years so that the folks that utilize their sewer system are not hit with it all at once. I realize they have had an increase since 2011 but to try to play catchup in one increase is not ethical in my opinion |

What is the plan to improve the system in Oakbrook estates. I live in the back right behind the system and much of the time the smell is unbearable to a point I can’t use my own deck. I’ve explored the area and done my own due diligence looking for other sources of the smells, it is definitely coming from the sewage house. The vents on the ends up high are the worst. There was a house next to mine that had difficulty selling due to the smell. I believe unless fixed it will continue to lower our property values. I am against any rate increase without a promise to improve the current system and remove the toxic smell. Thank You, Dan Greenwood 13001 Jacob Lane, |

I can understand some increase in sewer rates, but an increase of 80.6% will create a hardship for many fixed-income homes. With all the building, the income to the district should also be increasing, so isn't there some way to do bonds or low interest loans to allow the new building, both current and future, to supplement the need in improvements and expansions? Even small increases in the various gas, water, and electric utilities can cause hardships for many when collectively rolled together. |

I'm writing regarding the proposed rate increase for Platte County residences. The proposed rate is nearly double what we are paying, resulting in an annual increase of $355.80 per household. This is a significant increase and a hardship. The cost of living has increased substantially but our salaries aren't increasing at those same rates. I support an increase, but I do not believe an increase greater than 20% at a time is fair for consumers. Additionally, taking advantage of Platte County residents by increasing their rates significantly more than Clay County residents is unfair and problematic. Please reduce the rate increase. |

The Timber Creek Sewer Company is requesting an increase. I read that they have not had a monthly increase since 2011. I agree they are probably in need of more money. My concern is the amount of money they wish to charge monthly. Currently, I pay $36.71 a month, so does my daughter’s family. (They live less than a mile away from me and also use Timber Creek Sewer Company.) This is my complaint. Why do I pay the same monthly rate as them? I am a senior woman who lives alone in a two bedroom, two bath, 1320 square foot condo. I use my dishwasher maybe 3 times a week, and my washing machine 4 to 5 times a week. My water bill averages to about $25 a month. My daughter’s family consists of 4 people. They live in a 4 bedroom *See Attached |

I greatly oppose the proposed increase based upon the significant increase from the current rate (nearly $30 a month\$360 a year). I don't deny that there is a need for the increase, but the amount seems more than exorbitant. I did a brief literature search and found that the average sewer cost for the Midwest is $30-$50 a month, which seems more reasonable. Also, I am unsure why those living in Platte County are paying more that those that live in Clay County. My income has not increased by 45%. I do not believe that my sewer service should increase at a rate that is higher than inflation or the Midwest average. It seems very unfair as there is no competition for sewer service. Please consider my plea for a much lower increase. |

As a homeowner in Platte County, I am writing to express my support for Timber Creek Sewer Company’s request for an increase in its annual sewer operating expenses. I believe this increase is necessary to allow the company to carry out essential infrastructure repairs and updates, power improvements, and cover increased operational expenses. Ensuring the reliability and safety of our local sewer system is a priority for our community. Thank you for taking my comments into consideration. |

There is no reason to punish the customers of Timber Creek Sewer for the company’s lack of foresight. No company with good management would fail to raise their residential rates for 15 years. Their lack accountability for increasing their rates over the many years shouldn’t fall on the shoulders of their captive customers. There is not another option - we have not choice but to use their sewer system. They are asking us to fund their next project and it is not right or fair. Please do not grant their request to DOUBLE our sewer rate! We moved to Platte County in July last year. Every other utility was very pleasant and customer focused - PCEC, PWDS # 4, Spire, even the internet companies were very accommodating to *See Attached |

Not that our voice actually gets heard as this is just a way to appease the public, and I am sure decisions have already been made, and are in the works, despite what the public has to say, to raise our rates basically double to cover fees that are pretty much due to poor budgeting and prior planning on the service provider's part is ridiculous. I understand some sort of rate change needs to occur...that is just the world now days. But pretty much double puts a strain on the citizens who are already seeing increases on everything across the board on life in general. I know I am wasting my time. Maybe those in the actual affected area of the new facility should have to pay more than those that do not live close or utilize that area. |

I don't have the ability to attend the virtual public hearing and would like to leave my comments as follows: I understand that an increase may be necessary for continued reliable service, however an almost $30 more a month increase is extremely high and may not be doable for many consumers. |

This email regarding the request by Timber Creek Sewer company to increase its monthly fee by $29.59 for each customer in Platte County. This would represent almost 100% increase in the monthly fee, which is excessive no matter when the previous rate increase was. We urge the PSC and the Office of Public Counsel to protect customers and approve a more reasonable percentage increase in the Timber Creek Sewer monthly fee. |

I am writing as a residential customer of Timber Creek Sewer Company to provide comment on the proposed rate increase in Case No. SR-2026-0093. I understand and appreciate that critical infrastructure requires ongoing investment. Improvements related to capacity, reliability, power resilience, and system maintenance are necessary and benefit customers over the long term. I also recognize that the Company has not received a rate increase since 2011, and that some level of adjustment is likely warranted. See attached for full comments. |

I received your notice of a proposed 80% rate increase in the mail. Also, I went online to see the letter you filed with the Public Service Commission on 15 Dec 2025. As a civil engineer, I must say it's shocking how little information you provided to justify this rate increase. Just basic information like your past budgets, existing budget and your proposed budget is not included. Also, there is no detailed explanation of the additional construction projects, labor, repairs, operational expenses, etc. and the cost estimates??? How can you justify a rate increase just saying you need additional capacity and improvements? Your revenues have surely gone way up since 2011 given the massive growth in your customer base. *See Attached |

I received a hard copy notice dated January 28, 2026, that Timber Creek Sewer Company has requested an increase in its annual sewer operating revenues to the Missouri PSC. I understand the need for an increase to support infrastructure repairs and operating costs. My objection is charging me, a 76 year old widow who lives alone on a fixed income, the same rate as a family of four or more. I'm sure I do not generate as much waste water and sewage in my normal life style as a family. The proposed increase would almost double my monthly bill. That would obsorb the cost of living monthly Social Security increase I received for 2026. Thank you for any consideration to my concern. |
